The TrofficeTM

How It Began

Like many movements or good ideas, The Troffice did not have immediate followers. As a matter of fact, The Troffice in it's current form was not the orginal topic of discussion at all. The originating seed was planted during a casual lunch conversation amongst friends about the need to organize paperwork and a sales business from the trunk of a car. Yes, a Trunk Office.

The very first image that came to mind at the time was of a table that popped out when the trunked opened to reveal a fax machine, magical keyboard and maybe a small water cooler. Despite laughter and reassurance that the contraption needn't be that intense, a basic idea emerged and slowly grew. A mindset began to develop.

That group of lunch friends consisted of an independent sales contractor, a software engineer and a project manager. Through their individual expertise and skills, the discussion evolved and the concept of the Troffice began to take form. During the days and weeks that followed, conversations evolved from the physical product to more of the creative process and other product or service gaps that the friends had experienced. The group began applying the term Troffice to any new product or service idea, no matter how zany! This type of conversation has become a regular occurrance among the Troffice team.

Current

The TrofficeTM as a physical product has yet to launch, but what has emerged is a state of mind and philosophy on how to stay creative and continually explore opportunities to break out individually. A movement has launched among the originating Trofficers and those family and friends around them. The lingo and perpetual brainstorming that is common amongst the Trofficers can be infectious and is spreading to those they encounter.

Are you part of that movement?....

Most everyone has said, "What if they made....?", "You know, we should invent...", or "Maybe I should...", and "What if there was...?"

If you have ever asked those questions, I have questions for you. Who is "they"? What fills in the blank ....? If the perverbial "them" and "they" hasn't done it yet, could you? Does your creative side widen your smile more than the daily grind? Then Dare to TrofficizeTM my fellow Trofficers.

Be sure to explore the Trofficesphere often. Your TrofficeTM team will regularly update the site content with new stories, suggestions and links to help inspire and motivate you to keep coming up with troffices and to continualy feed your creative side.
